What is a stroke?

a Stroke develops on the background of circulatory disorders of the brain. Due to a marked shortage of oxygen and nutrients, brain tissue is softened. The affected areas can no longer control their subordinate parts of the body — they lose efficiency. Ischemic stroke often leads to death.

Diet after ischemic stroke

Power after ischemic stroke involves a fractional diet, optimal caloric daily meals – 2500 kcal. Portions should be small. The heat treatment of the products can be various – are not welcome only frying.

Since the cleansing of the body is largely due to the fiber, in the diet of patients should be plant foods: vegetables, fruits, cereals and greens.

the Menu should be varied and nutritious. At its core are lean protein products, vegetable fats (norm limited to animal fats), complex carbohydrates (the amount of simple sugars should also be monitored – it is permissible to consume up to 50 grams of sugar a day).

you Must limit the intake of flour products – the priority of dietary kinds of bread (very fresh bread to eat not worth it). Immediately after ischemic stroke is necessary to completely eliminate salt.

When the patient's condition stabiliziruemost, it can be added to ready meals (not more than 5 g per day). The fact that excessive intake of salt causes an increase in blood pressure – the salt draws fluid from surrounding tissues into blood vessels. This in turn further worsens the patient's condition.

After ischemic stroke is recommended to eat:
• Cereals (buckwheat, oatmeal, etc.)
• Lean meats
• White meat poultry
• Fish and seafood
