This is the recipe of the famous American chef Julia child preparing French cuisine. She showed American women that cooking is one of the main pleasures in life, and that any normal person can prepare a real French dinner in his kitchen.

- Wild rice - 1 Cup.
- Broth - 1 Cup.
- Dry white wine - 2 tbsp
- Bay leaf - 1 piece
- Onion - 1 piece
- The Apium graveolens Dulce - 1/2 PCs
- Carrots - 1/2 PCs
- Brisket - 1 lomt.
- Butter - 2 tbsp
Step by step instruction of cooking Braised wild rice from Julia child
The rice, pour three cups of water, bring to the boil, cover and turn down the gas fire. Cook for 20 minutes and then recline in a colander and rinse with cold water. The rice should be soft but with a hard center.
Prepare Mirepoix, for this onion, carrot, celery and pancetta or bacon to the rifling small cubes, add the thyme and fry for 10 minutes in butter. Bacon or put bacon on request, they give the dish flavor and a light saltiness.
To the Mirepoix add wild rice and fry.
To the rice add the wine, pour the broth and throw the Bay leaf. Bring to the boil, cover and turn down the gas fire. Stew until ready.
