Soak the beans in cold water for 7-10 hours, rinse, then boil in salted water until tender.

Onion peel and cut into large cubes.

In a large frying pan (skillet) heat a sufficient quantity of sunflower oil. Add the chopped onion, Bay leaf, allspice and black pepper peas. Cook on low heat until the onions are soft. It will take 5-8 minutes.

To the onions add soy sauce, tomato paste, tomatoes, water and spices. Mix thoroughly and simmer for 5-8 minutes.
