Offer to cook a simple pie, the recipe of which I met on a foreign culinary website (this recipe with my slight changes). I think you can take the idea of this forming, and bake a cake with filling (sweet or salty). For the recipe thank Svetlana Jovanovic.
Ingredients for Pie "Cubes"
- Flour - 500 g
- Yogurt - 100 ml
- Milk - 160 ml
- Chicken egg - 1 piece
- Yolk egg - 1 piece
- Butter - 130 g
- Sugar - 80 g
- Salt - 1 tsp.
- Yeast - 1.5 tsp.
- Grain - 2 tbsp
- Vegetable oil - 1 tsp.
Step by step instruction of cooking Pie "Cubes"
Just specify if You want to bake a sweet pie, then you need to decrease the amount of sugar to 1-1. 5 tbsp. I kneaded the dough using the bread machine, but you can knead it in the usual way. In a bucket, pour warm milk and yogurt, add the sifted flour, dry yeast, eggs, softened butter, salt, sugar.
Place the bucket in the bread machine and include the mode of kneading.
Give the dough in a warm place to increase in volume by about 2-3 times.
Divide the dough into 6 equal parts.
Roll one piece of dough into a circle about 4-5 mm thick, smeared with softened butter.
Unroll second piece of dough, stack it on top of the first, also smeared with butter.
In the same way, rolled and stacked on top of each other the rest of the dough, the last round of dough on top of oil not grease. The thus prepared dough is covered with foil and leave for about 15 minutes.
Using a rolling pin, roll the dough thickness of about 1 cm.
Cut the dough into strips with a width also of about 1 cm.
Then cut the strips of dough into cubes.
Round shape (I have a form with a diameter of 25 cm) grease with vegetable oil. Spread the cubes of dough in the form. I first laid the pieces of dough that were on the edge of the circle, i.e. those that were not in the form of cubes. And the top got nice blocks.
Cover the form with foil and give the dough to increase in volume about 2 times.
Whisk the yolk with the milk, gently grease the top of the cake. Sprinkle the grain mixture.
Bake pie in a preheated 200 degree oven for about 25-28 minutes. Bon appétit!
