Ingredients for Easter cake
- Flour - 1.5 kg
- Sugar - 1.5 stack.
- Chicken egg - 6 PCs
- Butter - 300 g
- Cream - 1.5 stack.
- Yeast - 15 g
- Raisins - 300 g
- Liqueur - 1 tbsp
- Powdered sugar - 1/4 Cup.
- Egg white - 1 piece
- Lemon juice
- Yolk egg - 1 piece
- Milk - 2 tbsp
Step by step instruction of cooking Easter cake
Ingredients for the dough
Prepare the sourdough: In a warm cream 1.5 cups add 5 tablespoons sugar, yeast and 3 tablespoons flour. Put in a warm place to rise 2 times (it took me about 15-20 minutes).
Mix the yolks with sugar, add vanilla, cardamom, nutmeg, cinnamon, liqueur, salt, softened butter. All right, beat with a mixer and mix with dough, then enter the whites (whipped separately in the foam) and gradually introduce the flour. Knead the dough, to keep it from sticking to the hands and put in a warm place covered with a tea towel, to rise in 2 times (I usually preheat the oven slightly and put the dough in there) for about 1 hour.
Raisins, wash and dry, lightly roll in flour and when the dough has risen, add to the dough and stir.
Further, the form imposed by the batter ½ of the form that took (I got 6 large and 3 small cakes) and put in a warm place to raise until the edges of the form (approximately 1 hour).
When the cakes have risen grease them with egg yolk with milk (egg yolk mixed with milk). Next, put in the oven for 35-40 minutes at 180-200 degrees, the first 20 minutes the oven do not open. If the top of burn on top, put parchment paper moistened with water.
Finished cakes leave to cool, covering them with a towel.
