These cakes I baked for the first time last year, although I treated them several years in a row. Loved this recipe, cook it was easy and relaxed. Now I advise everyone. Cakes very tasty as this recipe was cooking for a very long time the grandmother of my girlfriend, and as you know grandmothers delicious cakes do not happen!
Ingredients for Grandma's Easter cakes
- Milk - 750 ml
- Water - 100 ml
- Yeast - 25 g
- Chicken egg - 3 PCs
- Sugar - 500 g
- Butter - 125 g
- Flour - 1.8 kg
- Vanilla - 1 g
- Raisins - 100 g
Step by step instruction of cooking Grandma's Easter cakes
In a small bowl pour 100 ml of warm water and crumble the yeast, add 2 tbsp flour and 2 tbsp sugar.
Boil the milk and cool slightly. In a bowl add 3 tablespoons of flour and pour 200 ml of hot milk. Well stir the mixture to avoid lumps.
To combine yeast mixture and cold brewed flour. Allow to rise.
Pour the yeast in the sourdough, the remaining warm milk, pour gradually the flour. The dough should be as for pancakes, thick, but flowing. Let the dough rise for 30-35 minutes.
