Ingredients for Sprat in tomato sauce
- Sprat - 500 g
- Carrots - 1 piece
- Onion - 1 piece
- Pepper - 1/2 PCs
- Chili - 1/3 tsp
- Paprika sweet - 1 tsp.
- Garlic - 3 tooth.
- Flour - 2 tbsp
- Tomato juice - 700 ml
- Bay leaf - 3 PCs
- Sugar - 2 tsp.
- Paprika sweet

Step by step instruction of cooking Sprat in tomato sauce
Finely chop onions and three carrots on a grater, put all into the pan. Fry until soft.
Meanwhile, wash the mackerel, cut off all the unnecessary parts, disemboweled.
Add finely chopped bell pepper (I had slightly less than required number).
Add in the fried spices - salt, chili pepper and red paprika.
In parallel, in another pan, fry garlic, grated on a fine grater.
Add flour and mix thoroughly..
The fish put on zazharku (it is languishing on very low heat)...
... and in the flour in small portions, add tomato juice, sugar and with a spatula "remove" lumps.
