Ingredients for Pumpkin rice porridge with shrimp
- Rice flakes - 100 g
- Pumpkin - 150 g
- Cream - 100 ml
- Onion - 0,5 PCs
- Bacon - 20 g
- Shrimp - 150 g
- Cherry tomatoes - 100 g
- Garlic - 1 tooth.
- Ginger - 10 g
Step by step instruction of cooking Pumpkin rice porridge with shrimp
About 150 gr. pumpkin, half a small onion and two slices of bacon (or smoked homemade bacon - for flavor) cut into small cubes
Put all in a saucepan with a thick bottom, add a teaspoon of vegetable (olive) oil, a pinch of salt and fry all the onions until transparent.
Pour about 200 ml of boiling water and simmer until cooked pumpkin - about 10-15 minutes.
Pumpkin is ready, grind it with a blender until smooth and homogenous, pour in the cream - about 100 ml. Fat content of 10%.
Warmed the mixture to a boil.
Measure out 100 grams (one Cup) of rice cereal
Add to the pot. Stir and turn off heat.
Allow to infuse for 3-5 minutes
Meanwhile, in frying pan, pour olive (vegetable) oil, put one crushed clove of garlic and a small slice of ginger.
After a minute remove the garlic and ginger and flavored oil, put the peeled shrimp. Fry for a minute
Add a handful of chopped cherry tomatoes ( I had red and yellow), stir and adjust salt.
You can just salt. You can add soy sauce, I put one sharp salt pepper homemade - in it and salt water and sharpness. Heat over all together for 2-3 minutes. off. Optionally add the greens.
The dish is steep.
The richness and silkiness of the pumpkin, the aroma of smoked bacon and soft creamy texture - porridge was a success.
I will be immodest - but it is already VERY tasty. Honestly.
You can just at this stage its a pleasure to eat.
This mess has surpassed all my expectations.
