- Beets - 0.5 kg
- Carrots - 1 kg
- Onion - 0.5 kg
- Tomato - 2 kg
- Vinegar - 100 ml
- Salt - 2 tbsp
- Sugar - 6 tbsp.
- Vegetable oil - 500 ml
Step by step instruction of cooking Salad with capelin for the winter
Necessary products for cooking, in addition to sugar, salt, vinegar and oil.
Capelin clean, detachable head, and cut to pieces. One fish is cut into 2-3 pieces. The pieces are rather big.
A pound overcook minced onion 0.5 liters of vegetable oil until Golden brown.
Carrots and beets RUB on a coarse grater. Add up all the utensils for cooking.
Tomatoes mince. Add the rest and simmer on low heat under a lid for 1.5 hours. From time to time stir. Add 100 ml vinegar,2 tbsp salt,6 tbsp sugar. Simmer for another 30 minutes.
Spread into sterile jars and preserve. Turn the cover down and wrap it up to cool. From the portions I got 8 half-liter jars.
