Wonderful and very original dish from the usual sausages and ham in a rich, velvety sauce. It will help out, if at the threshold of the guests, and the dinner would be appropriate. A side dish can be steamed cabbage or boiled potatoes. The recipe is from the book by V. Sokolov.
Ingredients for Franks
- Sausage - 8 PCs
- Ham - 150 g
- Tomato - 3 PCs
- Onion - 2 PCs
- Garlic - 1 tooth.
- Dry red wine - 100 ml
- Mushrooms - 250 g
- Vegetable oil - 4 tbsp
- Sauce - 2 tsp.
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Step by step instruction of cooking Franks
Sausages for this recipe you need to take in a natural casing, I have a Turkey.
With a knife they cut, so I cut them with scissors.
In a pan heat vegetable oil and lightly fry the sausages and diced ham. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
In the same pan lightly brown chopped onions and garlic, pour in wine and simmer for 5 minutes - 7.
Then add chopped mushrooms. the tomatoes, season with sauce. Salt and pepper to taste. Worchester sauce I, unfortunately, was not. I added teriyaki sauce. The recipe for this substitution is allowed.
Stew vegetables and mushrooms for 10 minutes, then add sausage and ham and sauté for a further 10 - 15 minutes.
