This flavor combination will appeal to those who like a hearty meal, but not without the desire to do this by taking care of your health. Because adding pumpkin to roast is not only delicious and interesting but also useful. The food is bright, flavorful and quite original and tastes.
Ingredients for Roast Turkey, pumpkin and mushrooms
- Pumpkin - 500 g
- Turkey - 500 g
- Mushrooms - 400 g
- Cream - 200 ml
- Garlic - 2 the tooth.
- Onion - 1 piece
- Thyme - 1/2 tsp.
- Olive oil - 2 tbsp
Step by step instruction of cooking Roast Turkey, pumpkin and mushrooms
The Turkey breast wash, dry and cut into pieces about the size of 2*2 cm.
Also cut the pumpkin.
The cloves of garlic cut into several pieces and fry in olive oil until transparent.
Put garlic to the meat and fry it until light Golden brown, stirring constantly (literally 3-4 minutes).
In a ceramic pot (the volume of my pan 2 years) or in a baking dish put the fried meat. Top - sliced (not chopped) onions.
Next spread thawed and coarsely chopped mushrooms (any wild mushrooms, the mushrooms will also be very nice look).
On mushrooms put a pumpkin.
Salt, pepper, sprinkle of dried thyme (savory) and pour over the cream. Cook in preheated to 190* oven for 60-70 minutes. If you cook in a baking dish, it should be covered with foil. After 30-40 minutes after the start of the cooking pot (shape) remove from oven and gently mix the roast. If the pumpkin has given enough juice, pour a little boiling water.
Serve immediately! Before serving, sprinkle the roast with your favorite herbs (I love cilantro).
