Dumplings with buckwheat and cottage cheese - an old Ukrainian dish. The filling is a bit unusual, but quite an interesting flavor combination. Come on in, help yourself!
Ingredients for Dumplings with buckwheat and cottage cheese
- Flour - 300 g
- Water - 125 ml
- Butter - 20 g
- Buckwheat - 1 package.
- Curd - 500 g
- Chicken egg - 1 piece
Step by step instruction of cooking Dumplings with buckwheat and cottage cheese
Make the dough. In a bowl sift flour, add a pinch of salt. In boiled water soluble oil and in small portions add the flour, stirring with a spoon. Add the egg and knead well the dough.
The dough turns elastic. Wrap it in clingfilm and leave for 30 minutes.
For the filling, take a bag of boiled buckwheat and mix with cottage cheese. Add the egg and again mix well.
Roll out the dough, cut out circles, put the filling and shape the dumplings.
Boil in salted water for a few minutes, the time depends on the thickness of the dough.
Getting our dumplings, a little butter and serve with sour cream or yogurt.
