If your significant other is an avid fisherman, there is nothing easier to please him is to cook him for dinner a dish of his catch. My husband is to fish in all of the world prefers smelt. He is an avid fisherman since childhood. Now we have, again, a season of ice fishing this fish. But to cook a romantic dinner of just fried fish and the most delicious, it is primitive. So I decided to do the fish in the form of snacks, especially because smelt delicious both hot and cold. And it made Korean sauce, which was taught to me by the future in-law. - Soy sauce - 100 ml
- Chili - 1/2 tsp.

- Smelt - 300 g
- Flour - 4 tbsp
- Salt - 1 tsp.
- Vegetable oil - 50 ml
- Cucumber - 1 piece

First prepare the sauce in Korean. It needs to infuse. This sauce stores well in the refrigerator up to three days.
For cooking take the soy sauce. I used Kikkoman.
Add grated or pressed garlic, chili flakes.
On a dry pan fry the sesame seeds.
Pour hot sesame seeds into the sauce to give flavor.
Add finely chopped cilantro and vegetable oil and mix everything together.
Leave the sauce to infuse.
The smelt is allowed to thaw and wash well under running water.
What I like about this fish is that it does not need to be cleaned.
Dry the fish with paper towel. In a bowl place the flour and salt.
Dip the fish in flour. As I was preparing the dish for a romantic dinner, and the flow decided to make not primitive. Pierced through the darkness the fish with a skewer through the gills and tail.
On a hot frying pan, pour vegetable oil. When oil is hot, put the fish on skewers. Fry the fish on medium heat, lid not closing. Cook for about three to five minutes on each side until Golden brown. I want to note that due to the skewers this fish is very convenient to flip over. But, of course, possible when frying small quantities of fish.
Fried fish put on a napkin to remove excess oil.
You probably heard that fresh smelt smells of cucumber. So, I believe that this fish pickles are the best side dish, nothing else.
Cucumber wash, cut washers with a thickness of about 1 cm.
