Juicy, hearty, delicious casserole of ground beef and apples under a cheese crust. In my opinion a very good combination. Saw this recipe about ten years ago in the "Relish". Slightly altered it and now cook quite often. Simple, fast, affordable. Help yourself!
Ingredients for Meat casserole with apples
- Minced meat - 450 g
- Onion - 2 PCs
- Hell - 1 tbsp
- Greens - 1/2 Puig.
- Apple - 2 PCs
- Yogurt - 200 g
- Mustard - 1 tsp.
- Lemon juice - 2 tsp.
- Cheese - 100 g
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp
Step by step instruction of cooking Meat casserole with apples
The apples remove the core, grate them on a coarse grater, sprinkle with lemon juice. (1 tsp.)
To minced meat (I had chicken/Turkey), add chopped and fried in vegetable oil onions, chopped greens, horseradish. Season with salt and pepper to taste, mix well.
In a baking dish put the stuffing.
It is very convenient to cook and serve this casserole and portioned.
For stuffing to put the layer of apples. (apples gently squeeze)
Yogurt mixed with mustard and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
On a layer of apples, spread yogurt mixture. Bake in preheated to 180* oven for 30 minutes.
Then remove the form from the oven, sprinkle with grated cheese. (you can use any cheese that melts well) to Increase the oven temperature to 200* and bake another 5-7 minutes, until the cheese is melted and slightly browned.
