Is the time of lent, and therefore need to refuse a delicious cake, aromatic meat pies and so on. But even in post, you can treat yourself to something delicious and sweet, for example vegetable biscuits.
Ingredients for Lenten cookies
- Soy sauce - 1 tbsp
- Vegetable oil - 100 ml
- Water - 130 ml
- Flour - 250 g
- Corn flour - 3 tbsp.
- Sugar - 100 g
- Vanilla - 1 g
- A mixture of spices - 1 tsp.
- Flax seeds - 2 tbsp
Step by step instruction of cooking Lenten cookies
To prepare the recipe vegetable pastry in an unusual way. Whip the vegetable oil with ice water. The water should be very cold, closer to the ice condition. To do this, it in advance, place in the freezer for 20 minutes. Now add the ice water vegetable oil, it here quite a lot.
Beat with a mixer the two liquids to form a white foam - emulsion.
Add sweet soy sauce "Kikkoman".
In the prepared liquid stir in the flour and then wheat flour mixed with sugar and flax seeds. To flavor cookies I use vanilla and spice blend (this mixture is: dry ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, and nutmeg). Knead the dough.
Get lean soft and pliable dough.
Roll out the dough to a thickness of 5-10 mm.
Sprinkle sugar on top and press it lightly with a rolling pin. Cut shapes of dough.
Fold the workpiece cookies on a baking tray covered with baking paper. Bake the cookies in preheated oven to 180 degrees, about 15-20 minutes.
Ready cookies cool a little and serve with tea or compote.
