Ingredients for Walnut-date cake
- Flour - 150 g
- Semolina - 200 g
- Leavening agent - 1 tsp.
- Sugar - 4 tbsp
- Butter - 125 g
- Date - 200 g
- Nuts - 100 g
- Dried apricots - 100 g
- Lemon - 1 piece
- Honey - 1 tbsp
- Cinnamon - 1 tsp.
Step by step instruction of cooking Walnut-date cake
For cooking we will need these products.
Dates boil until soft. Dried apricots pour boiling water for 10 minutes. The water is then drained, dried fruits dry and finely chop.
Nuts grind. You can leave small pieces. Then mix them with dried apricots and dates. This also add honey, cinnamon, juice of one lemon and stir.
To combine the dry ingredients for the dough, add the softened butter and flexing with a fork, prepare the crumb.
On the bottom of the form (diameter 20 cm) put the baking paper and press a ring on it. Grease the bottom and sides with oil. First, spread half of the crumbs. Then cover the filling and top with remaining crumbs.
Bake the pie in the oven for 35-40 minutes at 180 degrees.
Leave the cake in the shape until cool. Then carefully take out and decorate as desired! I decorated with colored candied fruit and mint leaves!
