Ingredients for Lentil soup with sauerkraut
- Lentils - 150 g
- Sauerkraut - 200 g
- Potatoes - 2 PCs
- Carrots - 1 piece
- Onion - 1 piece
- Garlic - 2 the tooth.
- Tomato - 2 PCs
- Celery root - 50 g
- Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp
- Water - 2000 ml
- Salt - to taste
Step by step instruction of cooking Lentil soup with sauerkraut
Sauerkraut saute in a pan until tender (if necessary pour a little water).
Carrots, celery and garlic, cut into thin strips, onion - half rings.
While preparing the Kale, in another pan in vegetable oil fry the carrots, celery, onion and garlic. Fire average, much to fry the vegetables is not necessary.
Add chopped tomatoes, fry all the vegetables for a few more minutes, remove pan from heat.
The lentils thoroughly washed in running water until, until the water is clear. I am using Persian red lentils split from TM Mistral. This is a great option for soups, boil for a few minutes.
In a pot of boiling water, put the chopped cubes of potatoes and cook it until tender.
Then put in a pot of lentils. Cook for five minutes.
