Jam from kumquats

This recipe is the fruit of my attempts to combine the two in one: candied fruit and jam. Through trial and error found the perfect recipe. I really hope that you, dear cooks, the recipe will taste.

The kumquat (from the whale. orange and gold) is a yellow - orange tropical citrus fruit. Externally, the kumquat is like a very small oval orange.
Sort and wash the kumquats.

Cut in half or in three pieces ( depending on size)
remove seeds, cover with water and boil for a few minutes, repeat 2 times. We do this to ensure that the bitterness left.

Pour the water, cover the kumquats with sugar.
Leave for a couple of hours until the sugar is melted.
I have kumquats let the juice and additional water was not required.

There are two ways of cooking. One of them: 5 minutes of boiling and 15 minutes of resting, and so 5-6 times.
But I prefer this 10 minute boiling and 6 hours resting. And so 5-6 times.
The readiness of the jam check as usual - pour a spoonful of syrup, allow to cool and spoon hold the groove, the edges of the grooves must not be connected to.
