The idea of this salad looked closely at the Polish culinary forum. Salad with a simple set of vegetables and green peas. A bright accent in this salad - red onion, cooked in the marinade!
Ingredients for Vegetable salad with red onion
- Red onion - 500 g
- Carrots - 500 g
- Potatoes - 500 g
- Green peas - 400 g
- Dill - 8 vitoc.
- Black pepper - to taste
- Mayonnaise - 4 tbsp
- Water - 150 ml
- Vinegar - 60 ml
- Salt - 15 g
- Sugar - 5 g
Step by step instruction of cooking Vegetable salad with red onion
Red onion cut into half rings.
Mix marinade with water, vinegar, salt and sugar. Put on fire, stir, bring to a boil.
Add to the marinade chopped red onion and, stirring constantly, cook for 15 minutes on low heat.
Remove from heat, drain the marinade, drain off excess liquid and cool.
Previously boiled carrots cut into small cubes.
Also chop the boiled potatoes.
Add to the carrots and potatoes green beans (the liquid from the jar a pre-merge).
Add the cooled marinated red onion, finely chopped dill, season with black pepper.
Add the mayonnaise, mix gently and serve.
