Today I come to You with another family recipe – cucumbers for the winter with mustard. This cucumber salad that year mum rolled up for my husband. All winter he worried that was not enough jars prepared. Amount of ingredients is enough for two-liter cans.

Step by step instruction of cooking Cucumber with mustard in winter

Cucumbers I previously well washed and soaked for 2-3 hours in cold, ordinary water.

Then cut cucumbers butt. Cut you like, I prefer to cut the cucumbers into 4 or 8 pieces, depending on size of cucumber.
Divide the volume of the cucumbers into 2 parts, so it is more convenient to mix them all cucumbers marinated more or less evenly.

Now prepare the marinade.
In a bowl, mix sugar, salt (for preservation take common rock salt is not iodized), mustard, black pepper, garlic, crushed through a press, chopped dill, vegetable oil (odorless) and vinegar 9%. Mix well.
If after mixing were grains of sugar and salt, nothing terrible will disperse further during sterilization.
Distribute the mixture over the cucumbers. Mix and leave at room temperature for 3-4 hours, every 30 minutes stir.
While the cucumbers are marinated, prepare jars and lids. They need to wash and sterilize.
Sterilization methods many, for myself, I chose to do this in the microwave:
Banks fill with clean water for 1-1,5 cm from the bottom.
Put cans in the microwave for 4-5 minutes with a capacity of 700-800 watts. The water in the jars is boiling and there is steam sterilisation.

Now fill the jars with cucumbers, I'm going to use a liter.
During the infusion in cucumbers formed a lot of liquid, its together with cucumbers are distributed by banks. Fill the jar tight enough, not stamped hard.
Cover the jars.
Now take the pan such to fit the height of the banks. At the bottom of the Stela a small piece of tissue or a rag, put the jar and pour cold water on the shoulders of the jar.

Sent to the fire and bring to a boil. After boiling, make less heat, then takes 15 minutes and keep sterilized. If the banks half a litre is enough for 10 minutes.
If You have several batches of cans, the next batch must again be put into cold water, otherwise the banks will burst.

After sterilization, carefully take out jars. They are hot, not to burn. Roll, turn over, cover with blanket and allow to cool.
