In a medium saucepan, combine white vinegar, sugar, salt, mustard seeds, celery seeds, red chilli (optional) and powdered turmeric.
Bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve the sugar.
Prepare the vegetables and dill in one or more banks.
Pour in a jar with hot brine to completely cover the vegetables and seal the jar.
Refrigerate about 2 hours
