- Cheese - 400 g
- Water - 1 l
- Salt - to taste
- Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp
- Mayonnaise - 3 tbsp.
Step by step instruction of cooking Corn cake "Diet" with leeks
Cut the dark part of the leaves of leeks and discard, cut off the white part from light green, to make it easier to wash, divide the green part into leaves and wash under running water of soil and sand. Shake off water and lay out on a towel to drain the remaining water.
The white part is slightly cut in the middle and carefully remove the top of the first leaves as in my photo, wash and shake the water off.

So, our saute leeks until soft, stirring regularly. Looking under the cover, looking - without, does not matter. I prefer not to cover. Do not overfry, just to have it a little softened. So he became what.
Let us cornmeal. If suddenly someone does not know, it is of three kinds: large, medium and small grinding. Not be called croup, and "Polenta", because this is one and the same. Fine grind is like semolina. Not to be confused with cornmeal! I have medium grind cereals. As I have indicated in the ingredients, take the grind, there will still be delicious and will succeed.

Now put in a pot of semi-cooked grits with leeks and cheese and stir everything vigorously. That's the bulk of it. If we had fresh green onions, we would have added without pre-sauteed at this stage.
Put the mass into shape, pre lined with parchment paper. My form is 32 cm in diameter, rim height of 3.5 cm. the Surface is slightly even out.
And carefully distributed on top 2-3 tablespoons of mayonnaise. Better to smear them on the surface with a spatula, at the same time it smooths the remaining roughness. Mayonnaise will give us beautiful color when cooked and very tasty smell!
And put to bake in a hot oven, 180 degrees for an hour. After one hour turn off the oven and leave it in her pie for another 30 minutes. If You're using half the volume in smaller fora, and the cooking time will have to shorten. Here is the top view.
