Ingredients for Meat casserole with young ears
- Bread - 100 g
- Milk - 250 ml
- Minced meat - 1 kg
- Onion - 140 g
- Carrots - 120 g
- Water - 100 ml
- Vegetable oil - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Chicken egg - 2 PCs
- Sour cream - 3 tbsp.
- Apple - 80 g
- Corn - 6 PCs
- Cheese - to taste
- Greens - to taste
- Bread crumbs - to taste
Step by step instruction of cooking Meat casserole with young ears
First you need to soak 100 white bread 250 ml milk.
Finely chop onion (140 g) and grate the carrot (120 g). In a frying pan in a small amount of vegetable oil to fry onions and carrots.
Now to the fried onions and carrots, add 1 kg of minced meat (I have pork-beef). Mix thoroughly. To the mince add 100 ml of boiling water, simmer on low heat until the liquid is evaporated, about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, allow to cool, add salt and black pepper to taste.
Now you need to whip 2 eggs with 3 tbsp sour cream.
To the egg-sour cream mixture, add soaked in milk bread and mix well.
Apple (80 g), peel and seeds, grate on a fine grater and combine with the cooked minced meat. Mix thoroughly.
Take 6 pieces of pickled young corn cobs and cut into medium-sized rings.
Add in minced meat, sliced young corn on the cob and egg-sour cream mixture with the bread. Carefully mix everything until smooth.
The easiest option is to use a split mold.
I used the usual form, so I covered it with parchment paper and sprinkled with breadcrumbs.
The cooked meat mass put into a form, gently smooth the surface and put to bake in preheated to 180 degrees oven. Bake for about 45-50 minutes, focusing on the peculiarities of your oven.
10 minutes before end of baking sprinkle shepherd's pie with grated cheese. As soon as browned cheese crust, shepherd's pie pulled from the oven.
Allow to cool slightly you can treat!
Casserole meat is incredibly juicy and tender, it can apply in the form in which it was baked, but you can carefully remove it and serve on a festive platter.
Decorate with greens, can be served with mashed potatoes and various vegetable salads.
