Welsh rabbit – a very English name for this dish. The story of this name strange, confusing, and almost a detective. The fact that the rabbit is not here at all, but bread and cheese.. well, and seasonings. Apparently, the name was born in those days, and recipe for more than 200 years, when poor Welsh rarely fall to meat, especially rabbit meat. Cheese croutons was hearty and delicious, now Wales, with some irony, called this dish "rabbit". Welsh or Wales, so if you like it more. This is not a statement, there are other versions, but it's intriguing title gives the usual Grengam some mysterious touch and that they seem mystically tasty.
