Step by step instruction of cooking Pea fritters
Pour the peas with cold water and leave overnight to swell.
Swollen peas boil until tender (40 min.).
Drain the water, leaving not a lot to mash into a puree, add a knob of butter. you should get watery. Cool.
Add salt, soda, eggs, fried onions and flour.
Heated in a skillet vegetable oil, pour into it a spoonful of batter and fry on both sides.
