Very quick, easy, delicious and satisfying.

Potatoes (I have young, but in the winter I use old - so even better it turns out) to choose approximately the same size, well washed, to remove the "ugliness". DO NOT CLEAN!
Put in a kettle or pot with thick walls and a tight cover.
Add salt, pepper, spices. Pan to shake the contents to mix.
Pour vegetable oil in sufficient quantity to cover the bottom of the pan for 3-4 cm.
Again mix, close with a tight lid, put on fire (the big one first, and when the oil starts to boil - reduce). Cook, stirring occasionally, until tender (30-40min). Finally add the crushed (garlic press or finely chopped) garlic, to mix, a minute to hold under the lid and turn the heat off. Serve with sour cream and pickled cucumbers.
