Wash plums and remove pits. Put in pan, add 2 tbsp. spoons of sugar,
zest of 1 lemon (I cut thin strips), it is possible through a grater
and pour red wine (no,add Martini red)
Put on high heat and cook until the wine evaporates.
Beat butter with the remaining sugar until you get
the creamy mass and add the eggs. Add them one at a time, continuing to whisk.
Add the vanilla sugar. Pour the resulting cream sifted with the baking powder and the flour
and with the remaining plums on the bottom of the pan thickened with wine. Gently to mix.
Form 22 cm (in my case 28 cm)to cover with paper and pour the batter. To distribute evenly.
The top is sprinkled with nuts, hazelnuts - optional.
Bake in a hot oven 180°C approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.I have baked less time. Test with a toothpick in readiness. Pull out of shape, cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.
