This recipe from the Bulgarian cuisine I found in the journal "Kitchenette". Very interesting, unusual dessert - fried in butter semolina with cinnamon, vanilla, lemon zest and walnuts. It turns out very tender, soft and fragrant dessert. And the kids eat it with enormous pleasure!
Ingredients for Gris-halva
- Semolina - 2 stack.
- Butter - 120 g
- Sugar - 2 stack.
- Walnuts - 100 g
- Water - 4 Stak.
- Vanilla sugar - 1 package.
- Cinnamon - 1 tsp.
- Lemon peel - 1 tsp.
- Powdered sugar - 1 tbsp
- Vegetable oil - 1 tsp.
- Bread crumbs - 1 tbsp
Step by step instruction of cooking Gris-halva
Semolina mixed with grated walnuts. Melt the butter in a pan, add manno-nut mixture and fry it until Golden brown.
Cook sugar syrup: boil water, add sugar, cinnamon, pinch of vanilla, lemon zest and cook for 10 minutes.
Pour syrup roasted semolina, quickly and thoroughly mix, cover and cook 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Form of grease with vegetable oil and sprinkle with breadcrumbs, spread the hot mass and spread with a spoon dipped in cold water. You can put this dessert in small cups, you get portioned brownies. A lot cool.
Flip onto a plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar mixed with vanilla.
Cut the halva into pieces. Grey tea and a treat!
Still very tasty to eat this treat with cold milk.
