- Semolina - 125 g
- Flour - 125 g
- Leavening agent - 1 tsp.
- Sugar - 4 tbsp
- Vanilla sugar - 1 package.
- Butter - 125 g
- Date - 250 g
- Honey - 2 tbsp
- Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
- Cinnamon - 0.5 tsp.
- Walnuts - 80 g
- Bread crumbs
- Vegetable oil
Step by step instruction of cooking Iraqi walnut-date cake "Hilargi"

Mix semolina, flour, baking powder, sugar and vanilla.

Add honey, lemon juice, cinnamon and nuts.
Stir and remove from heat.
A baking pan diameter 22 cm, spread with butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs.

and evenly spread out on her date filling.
On top of the filling to cover the second part of the flour crumbs.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Bake pie 45 minutes, on the middle level of the oven, until Golden brown.
