Roberts is the Latvian national dish. It is based on semolina with beaten egg, but you never call this dish of porridge. Rather, it is a delicate soufflé or pudding. Very tasty and air! Surprise your family with this delicious, unusual and easy Breakfast or dessert! A recipe from "Deli ", 2004
Ingredients for Roberts
- Raisins - 1 Gorst.
- Chicken egg - 4 PCs
- Almonds - 50 g
- Milk - 500 ml
- Vanilla sugar - 1 tsp.
- Sugar - 3-4 tbsp
- Semolina - 100-120 g
- Butter - 0,5 tbsp.
Step by step instruction of cooking Roberts
In boiling milk in a thin stream pour grits and, stirring constantly, cook for a few minutes.
The yolks separated from the whites. When the porridge cooled to 80-70 degrees, add to it chopped peeled almonds, raisins (optional) and the egg yolks mixed with sugar.
Separately, beat whites with a pinch of salt and vanilla sugar and gently introduced into the porridge.
Pour the mass into a greased with butter and liberally sprinkled with semolina form.
Bake until Golden brown in a preheated 180 degree oven.
You can serve it both warm and cooled. Delicious to pour sour cream or honey.
