Lemon sorbet

A traditional drink in Eastern countries, prepared from rose hips, cornelian cherries, rose or licorice and spices. Currently, the chefs are called sherbet special types of beverages from fruit juice and sugar with spices and ice cream. The word "sherbet" is from Turkish "serbet". Serve the sorbet in a pretty glass bowls or tall glass cups, made of carved wood or stained glass or floral patterns. In sherbet, add ice cubes or ice chips to drink was more refreshing and cold. According to Turkish customs it is accepted that a glass of sherbet is served on a large tray, which will certainly cover lace cloth or a piece of cloth with beautiful and elaborate embroidery - this tradition goes back many centuries and is strictly observed. Tourists travelling around Turkey, love to eat sorbets. And if sorbets from fruit and berries for us, Europeans, are not too exotic, the sherbet of rose petals, of course, may be regarded as purely Eastern drink.

Step 1

In the lemon juice pour the sugar, put the honey and cloves and leave for 8 hours.


Step 2

Fill with water and bring to a boil.

Cool and filter.
