We liked "bread from semolina, cooked in the pan" from Selena, the house was a bit of cheese (we love cheese), and I decided to dream a little. Here's what we got. By the way, this pellet is the perfect replacement for bread and very good to take along on a picnic.
Ingredients for Pellets of semolina with cheese
- Semolina - 500 g
- Yeast - 8 g
- Sugar - 2 tsp.
- Salt - 1 tsp.
- Water - 300 ml
- Vegetable oil
- Cheese - 200 g
- Sour cream - 2 tbsp
Step by step instruction of cooking Pellets of semolina with cheese
Knead the dough from semolina, salt, sugar, water and yeast. The dough cover with a towel and put in a warm place for 30-40 minutes.
After the dough has risen, put the dough on a oiled work surface and oiled hands again knead the dough (slightly) and divide it into 4 parts.
Grind cheese, mix with sour cream and chopped herbs (I dill).
From each piece roll cake.
The center put the filling, take the edge and lightly roll out. Pellet with a thickness of 0.5-0.6 cm
Bake on a pre heated (but not hot) dry pan, on medium heat under the lid. Bake for about 3 minutes each side.
By the way, for the experiment, one cake fried in vegetable oil, and, of course, husband is liked more. But I like the version without oil.
The filling can be different: cheese, meat, mushrooms...
