This rice I tried it for the first time in one of American restaurants. Arriving home, I found a recipe of it, and now this figure has become a frequent dish in our home menu. Very tasty, fragrant, beautiful - it can be used as a garnish to any dish, or as a separate dish with vegetable salad. I suggest you try and appreciate American cuisine!
Ingredients for Orange-ginger rice-American
- Vegetable oil
- Onion - 1 piece
- Figure - 1 Cup.
- Orange - 1 piece
- Ginger - 1 tbsp
- Water - 2 stack.
- Salt
- Allspice
Step by step instruction of cooking Orange-ginger rice-American

A special knife, remove the zest from the orange and finely chop.

The root of the ginger RUB on a small grater.

Onions finely chop.

Brown rice (I used brown rice Kuban company Mistral) wash and pour hot water for 5 minutes.

In a deep frying pan passeruem onion in vegetable oil. It should be soft.

Add the rice and cook, stirring, 1 minute.

Then add orange zest and grated ginger root and cook, stirring, 1 minute.

Then add water (or broth), bring to a boil and cook with the lid closed until the rice is tender. Approximately 20-25 minutes.

In cooked rice add salt and pepper to taste and stir.
When serving, put on top of the orange segments.
