I love practical Turkish desserts, when all are fast, affordable and delicious. Yanyk Sheker is one of those desserts and one of the hundreds of desserts, where the basis - of semolina.
Mix eggs and sugar.
Mix until smooth.
We need the zest of two lemons and the juice of one lemon.
The dough place in a saucepan, pour milk, while stirring.
When the milk starts to boil, add the lemon zest. I would add more zest from 3-4 lemons. Very tasty! So, feel free to add more!
In a small kastrula mix lemon juice and 6 tbsp sugar.
Semolina, cook until thick, it took me somewhere about 15 minutes time.
Burnt sugar, pour the batter and distribute evenly in the form.
Put in the freezer ( not refrigerator) for 1 hour. After some time take out of the freezer and turn onto a plate.
Usually use pistachios, but I like ground hazelnuts.
If possible, you can freeze the dessert, leaving in the freezer for 6-8 hours, and before serving for an hour to get and transfer to the fridge. Then its indistinguishable from the real ice cream...
Ready dessert cut into portions and served to the table. The more nuts, the better. Therefore, each portion can additionally sprinkle with nuts.
