Italian lemon cookies

Very delicate crumbly biscuits with lemon flavor. As a child I made it mom, and now I cook it myself. Simple, but surprisingly tasty. The recipe is from my mother's notebook.
Ingredients for Italian lemon cookies
- Butter - 100 g
- Sugar - 3/4 stack.

Step by step instruction of cooking Italian lemon cookies
Prepare the lemon zest. To cookies turned out flavorful and delicious, the zest you need to take without the white part. Ie carefully using a fine grater remove the upper yellow skin from half of a lemon. The white part gives foreign flavor and bitterness.
Add the zest to the batter, stir quickly.
Then add the sifted flour. If you cook cookies with sour cream, flour will go smaller. First I added 1.5 cups, and then pour little by little. Depending on the manufacturer and brand of flour, this product takes a different amount. Quickly knead the dough. It should be soft, elastic, does not stick to hands.
Now start shaping the cookies. I divide the dough into 2 parts. From one part of baking cookies in the form of sticks (real Italian), and on the other a tidy pattern.
Half of the dough divide into 4 parts. Each portion will skatiem cushion, divide into equal pieces and SkyTeam flagella. The length of the flagellum about 10 cm and a diameter of 1 cm Flagella should not be perfectly smooth.
Preheat the oven to 180*C.
Cookies spread on a baking sheet, covered with baking paper. Wepcam until Golden brown (I baked 15 minutes).

You can decorate the cookies with chocolate figure. Chocolate need not porous, of good quality. 20 g dark chocolate placed in a plastic bag, melt in the microwave or put in hot water (you can use confectionery syringe). Cut off the corner of the bag so the hole was small, about 1-2 mm.
Draw the figure on the cookies and give the chocolate to harden.
