A traditional dessert at Christmas from Germany. Prepares quickly and easily. Very tasty, flavorful, just delicious. Long searched for a suitable recipe and now gladly share with you. Something like firewood or krepela.

Step-by-step instruction of cooking Strobele (Striebele)


Step 1

Flour, milk, eggs, vanilla sugar and salt knead thick dough. 
In a deep frying pan diameter 26 cm. or, like me, in a small saucepan (depending on what size you want to make) a well-heated oil. 
Then take a funnel, ladle. Holding with a finger hole on the funnel, pour into it the dough. Then over the pan, remove finger and allow dough to flow, making circular or any movement. 
Fry on one side for 2 minutes until Golden brown, turn over and fry for another 2 minutes on the other side. 
Take out and immediately sprinkle with powdered sugar. Hot from the fire, of course, delicious.
