Soon New Year is coming and every woman wants her holiday dishes looked beautiful. Once upon a time in a local newspaper had a contest for the most original Christmas salad. Won a salad called "Christmas candles." What kind of salad was in the candlelight of cucumber, I do not remember, but I liked the idea. I offer you such variant of filling "candles".

The products that you need for the meal.
Eggs and carrots boil.
My cucumbers were a small diameter, it is better to take thicker, because more of salad will fit inside the cucumber-candles.
Prepare the candles. Take a cucumber slice such penechki 5-6 see
Carefully take out the pulp of cucumber, leaving the bottom, a pair of scissors cut the top edges of the teeth.
Preparing a salad which will fill our candles. Cheese, carrot, eggs to grate on a coarse grater. Crab sticks can be frozen to grate, and you can defrost and chop very finely.
I prefer the latter, because after thawing, I squeeze the water out of crab sticks, to avoid excess moisture in the salad. Add corn, cucumbers (grated), which remained after cutting the candles.
Mix all salad ingredients.
Add salt and pepper to taste. Mayonnaise.
Filled candle-cucumber salad. Better to do it just before serving so that the cucumbers are not soaked.
Since I was little cucumbers, but the salad turned out much, the dish can be decorated.
