Ingredients for Scandinavian dessert
- Figure - 200 g
- Brown sugar - 4 tbsp
- Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
- Cranberries - 100 g
- Dried apricots - 5 PCs
- Cherry - 100 g
- Potato starch - 1/2 tsp.
- Water - 200 ml
Step by step instruction of cooking Scandinavian dessert
Take 200g of rice TM"Misteli" amber, wash under water and pour 1.5 cups of cold water, put on fire. Bring to boil and with the lid closed to cook for 5 minutes on strong fire, then the fire abated and cook until absorbed-water evaporation without a lid. Then turn off the heat and let stand for 15 minutes under a lid.
In this dish I used brown sugar Demerara TM "Mistral".
Dilute 50 ml of boiled water 2 tbsp brown sugar and add 1 tbsp of lemon juice. This mixture pour in the rice and stir.
For the formation of balls we need cooked rice and dried apricots. The apricots I washed thoroughly and cooks in boiling water 5 minutes.
Roll the rice into a ball and put inside a piece of dried apricots.
Forming this ball of rice (in the dried apricots).
Put the resulting balls on a platter.
Cranberries need promyat through a sieve.
Add 2 tbsp brown sugar, bring to a boil and pour in the starch dissolved in 1 tbsp water., stir and cook another 1 min. (to boiling), stirring occasionally. Allow to cool slightly.
Pour rice balls syrup.
On top place the fresh cherries (frozen sold in any hypermarket).
This gives a special piquancy to the taste!
