The recipe for this ginger syrup bribed me with the fact that in the end, we have syrup, and dried fruit. On set of useful properties of ginger can truly be called unique plant. It is widely used in the treatment of colds, inflammation, used as an antiseptic and immunoprophylaxis tool. In addition, this wonderful root has been used in cosmetics and for cooking. Recently in our family, ginger has become one of the most popular products that you can always find in the fridge.

Step by step instruction of cooking Ginger syrup
Clean the ginger root and cut into thin slices
With a vegetable peeler remove strips of zest from the orange ( I always have in the freezer is orange zest).
Add the sugar and water.
Put on the fire.
Bring to a boil, reduce the heat and cook for approximately 1 hour. Cover with a lid and allow to cool to room temperature.
Then strain the pieces of ginger and peel spread on parchment paper and give them a little dry.
The syrup can be store in fridge or pour into sterilized jars and roll up.
