More recently, red cabbage "settled" in our fridge. Very fond of us the coleslaw and red onion topped with pomegranate sauce, make it very often. Saw a similar dish in a magazine, only with lentils, and a small addition. Decided to cook, besides, not tried lentils. And the result was a surprise, unusual, spicy and very fit. I think this recipe is suitable for people fasting, and as a light snack at the time.
Ingredients for Salad of red cabbage and lentils
- Lemon juice - 1 tsp.
- Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp
- Red onion - 1 piece
- Red cabbage - 70 g
- Lentils - 50 g
- Honey - 1 tsp.
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Cheese - 1 lomt.
Step by step instruction of cooking Salad of red cabbage and lentils

Lentils, rinse. Boil in salted water until tender.

Onion cut into thin half-rings.

The red cabbage is finely chopped.

For dressing combine oil, lemon juice, honey, salt and pepper. Mix well.

Combine all the ingredients, season with fragrant oil.
To give the salad to stand for 15 minutes and serve, garnished with slices of cheese.
Optionally, you can add a handful of raisins, if you like.
